store-bought eggnog, bourbon, cinnamon garnish
After brandy, bourbon was the most suggested spirit for spiking the nog that I got from my polling. And it is very good. Not quite as smooth and fruity as the brandy, and a bit more booze bite. It goes well with the eggnog and doesn’t overpower the eggnog spices.
No big surprises here, pretty much what I expected.
Tomorrow: the wildcard!
I used Southern Comfort brand eggnog from the grocery store (there is no Southern Comfort in it), and 1.5 oz booze to 4 oz eggnog. I stirred it over ice, then strained into the glass and sprinkled it with cinnamon.
