In The Savoy Cocktail Book, written in 1930, there is a cartoon that accompanies this drink. It’s of a man sitting down, talking to a waiter. The caption says, “An attempt to translate: ‘This hooch is the Cat’s Pyjamas’, from North American into fluent Russian.”⁣ 😂

This is so yummy. It’s as boozy as a martini, but much easier to drink. The vodka mellows out the gin a little, and the creme de cacao adds a little chocolatey sweetness. ⁣
