This is a classic “girly drink”, and indeed it looks like a strawberry milkshake. But this is a seriously boozy cocktail. The first sip took me by surprise – I wasn’t sure I liked the gin/applejack combination. But after the second sip I decided I liked it. The only sweetness comes from two dashes of grenadine – it is a tart, boozy drink in a frilly pink dress. Yum.⁣
