Mochatini

I found this recipe on thespruceeats.com.

Kahlua (coffee liqueur), vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur ⁣

It’s Fake Martini Week!

Just because it’s in a triangle glass doesn’t make it a Martini. 🍸 From Thrillist.com, “…in the ‘90s, the Martini, like Courtney Love, got a makeover. It emerged shiny and fruity, with hundreds of iterations.” A “real” Martini is gin or vodka, vermouth, and a garnish, and I’ve made real Martinis in the project already. So now I’m going to explore “fake” Martinis – generally made to taste like candy, cake, and cookies. Should be fun!⁣

The Mochatini is a boozy take on a favorite coffee drink of mine – the mocha. And the drink is better than I thought it would be, because it isn’t JUST sweet – there is a nice bite of alcohol, too. It is a lot like a Mudslide, which is also delicious…but instead of Irish Cream, there is chocolate liqueur. (I used Godiva White Chocolate liqueur.)⁣

This is about as far removed from a traditional Martini as I think you can get…but since it’s Fake Martini Week, I’m sure there will be others that fit that bill, too.⁣
