I don’t have a link to this recipe…I was able to put together my best guess from a restaurant review.
vodka, St-Germain, lemon juice, simple syrup
This drink was recommended by a friend, but it turns out there aren’t any recipes for it online anywhere. That’s because it’s a featured drink at a local bar here in Austin – Stephen F.’s Bar & Terrace at the InterContinental Hotel.
I was able to find the basic ingredients in a review of some of Austin’s hotel bars, and I recognized that the Ladybird is really just a Vieux Mot (see my post on that one) with vodka instead of gin. So I followed those proportions when making this.
I was curious about how this would taste, because so far I’ve only had St-G with gin…I kind of thought it was a rule or something. 😄 It’s good, for sure. It tastes like a Vieux Mot without the gin (obvs), and I like it better with gin, but it’s still very good.
Also, there are other cocktails out there called Ladybird. This is just the one from The Stephen F.
