Fireball, Rumchata – equal parts
I found this recipe because Spec’s (my local liquor store) has been advertising this drink to me constantly for the last couple of weeks. So I got myself some Mardi Gras decorations and went with it.
I was interested to give this a try because I wanted to know more about Rumchata, a cream liqueur made in Wisconsin. Their website describes it this way: “RumChata is the perfect blend of Rum, Cream, Cinnamon and Vanilla.” It is sweet and rich like Irish Cream, but with a rum base. And more cinnamon-ey.
This cocktail is tasty, but one is enough. Know what I mean? I’d like to try Rumchata in different cocktails, where the other ingredient(s) aren’t adding to the sweetness/richness.
