gin, Lillet Blanc, Dubonnet, squeeze of orange peel

I found this recipe in The Savoy Cocktail Book, it is also available on www.mixology.recipes.

I’m excited to try some of the Dubonnet recipes in The Savoy Cocktail Book that I’ve been skipping past because I didn’t have Dubonnet. I wish I could have found the history of the name! It’s pretty much a White Negroni with a little bit of Dubonnet.

The Dubonnet gives it a nice color, but there is so much gin in this cocktail that the taste of it doesn’t really come through. I get a little citrus flavor from the orange oil and Lillet, but it’s pretty much a gin martini. I like gin, so it’s okay by me.
