I found this recipe on liquor.com.
gin, ginger ale, ginger syrup, lemon juice, mint
Named after the iconic actress, dancer, and singer from Hollywood’s Golden Age – but this isn’t an old drink. It was created in 1995, a riff on an older drink published in a 1914 book.
Obviously this drink is named Ginger Rogers because it has ginger, ginger ale, and ginger syrup. When I posted a photo on my real IG account (@verypinkknits) of the ginger syrup in progress, someone suggested that the drink should be called Ginny-Gin-Gin.
And Ginny-Gin-Gin is the perfect name. You gotta love ginger for this one! I do love ginger, and I made my ginger syrup pretty strong. It is delicious, and I would imagine that a non-alcoholic version of this drink (Ginny-Gin, maybe?) would be an excellent pick-me-up in the morning.
