Gin and Limoncello Cooler

I found this recipe on thekitchn.com.

gin, limoncello, soda⁣

(The recipe for this: Fill a tall glass with ice. Add 1 oz gin and 1 oz limoncello, fill to the top with club soda)⁣

Hot town, summer in the city. This isn’t a classic cocktail, like most in the project. But it’s a summer cooler during a week with triple-digit temperatures in Austin. And it’s a way for me to use my homemade limoncello!⁣

This is a new favorite. When I started this quarantine project, I figured it would last be a few months, because I figured we’d get this virus under control in the US and there would be no more quarantine. Ah, well. So now I’m thinking ahead to winter warmer cocktails and the liqueurs I’ll need to make choco-minty drinks at Christmastime. I guess a longer quarantine means I’ll have more time to learn about mixed drinks (silver lining?). ⁣

Back to summer coolers. Before this project, light beer was always my favorite warm-weather drink after a day’s work. Here are my favorite summertime cocktails now:⁣
🍊 Aperol Spritz (duh! so good)⁣
🤠 Ranch Water (tequila!)⁣
🏖 Sorrentino (sort of a negroni cooler)⁣
🍓 Pimm’s Cup (plus the fruit salad of garnishes)⁣
🐎 Horse’s Neck (bourbon!)⁣
