I followed the recipe on liquor.com.
gin, dry vermouth, cocktail onions
In my quest to revisit some cocktails I tried early on in the project, I’m having a Gibson – which is really just a Martini with an onion garnish.
When I tried a Martini in April, this is what I said in the post, “It’s a lot for my taste buds to handle. I had a couple of sips, then put the drink in the fridge for a time-out.” Things are different now!
Nine months into the project (and after completing bartending and mixology schools), a Gibson is not too much for my taste buds to handle anymore. 🤣 It is delicious, and even sweet. I love cocktail onions, which is why I’ve used seven of them in the garnish. 🧅
Okay, I’m not going to be afraid of the cocktails that were too boozy-tasting for me to handle early last year! I’m looking forward to trying more now.
Because this is such a simple drink, I want to mention the ingredients I used – The Botanist Gin, and Dolin Vermouth.
