I think about the quaint idea of neighbors borrowing a cup of sugar or flour from each other, then there is me and my neighbor. She borrowed a few ounces of Fernet Branca, and I borrowed a few ounces of Garden 108.⁣

This is the only non-alcoholic mixed drink in the project so far, but I thought it was worth giving a try. Seedlip makes distilled spirits with no alcohol. ⁣

I didn’t expect to like it, but it’s pretty good! It doesn’t smell very good to me in the bottle, but it has a nice herby, cucumbery taste. I think it’s a good option to have on hand for when we get to entertain again…how nice to be able to make non-alcholic cocktails for friends who don’t drink, with all of the pomp and garnishes usually reserved for boozy drinks. It feels far more special than handing them a LaCroix. ⁣
