It had to happen…I had to eventually get a bottle of blue curaçao and start making some blue drinks. ⁣

Blue curaçao is just orange curaçao, colored blue. Orange curaçao is a liqueur made with the dried peels of bitter oranges (called lahara) native to Curaçao. Blue and orange are popular curaçao colors, but it also comes in green, yellow, red, and aquamarine. ⁣

I honestly had no idea what it would taste like before today. I was kind of surprised to find that it’s just orange flavored, so many orange liqueurs to choose from! In my bar right now I have Cointreau, triple sec, Grand Mariner, and now this. I didn’t go on a quest to have so many orange liqueurs, I swear!⁣

So, Envy. It’s very pretty. That is its best quality. It tastes just okay. Not delicious, not terrible. I think about how perfectly tequila goes with grapefruit or orange, and I don’t think pineapple is as good with tequila.⁣ 🍍

I’m going to be limited in the blue curaçao drinks I can try, because I don’t like coconut, and most of the cocktails include coconut in some form. ⁣🥥
