Drambuie, gin, lemon juice
I had more Christmasey drinks to try this week, but truth be told, I need a break from creamy, minty, eggy cocktails.
This is a riff on a Bee’s Knees (gin, honey, lemon juice) where Drambuie is the substitution for the honey. Drambuie is liqueur made with scotch, honey, and herbs – so it is a smart substitution. And a Bee’s Knees is just a gin sour with honey for the simple syrup…because everything new has actually already been done already. 😁
This is very nice. I don’t know why, but it tastes very fancy! Maybe because it’s Christmas Eve-Eve, and everything we eat and drink this time of year has the air of something special.
