I found this recipe on diffordsguide.com, but the recipe calls for Cherry Heering, and I used kirschwasser (German cherry brandy).
vanilla vodka, kirsch, creme de cacao, half-n-half
Yuuummmmmm. Yay! My last cocktail with kirsch wasn’t good, and this one really is. It is chocolate and vanilla covered cherry in a glass, but NOT TOO SWEET. Just flavorful. Substituting kirsch for Cherry Heering means the sugar in the cocktail is taken down a notch, which suits me.
Other recipes for this drink call for regular vodka, not vanilla. But I think the vanilla vodka is a good call. Heaven knows that most vanilla vodka cocktails are sweet and terrible, but this is the perfect way to use it. (The vanilla vodka doesn’t actually add any sweetness itself, it is just used in terrible overly-sweet drinks.)
Mmmmm. Having another.
