Cape Cod

I found this recipe on liquor.com.

vodka, cranberry juice

Definitely a “need a drink” kind of day. Everything going on in the US right now, trying to keep myself aware and listening to news all day – a little help to relax is in order. I can get back on the news when I finish my drink.⁣

It’s rare to find a drink with a straightforward history, but this is one! The Cape Cod was conceived in 1945 by the Ocean Spray cranberry grower’s cooperative under the name “Red Devil”. So, it was invented to sell more cranberry juice. It is also called Cape Codder, but I’ve never heard it called that, might be a regional thing. The drink is vodka and cranberry juice, with a squeeze of lime.⁣

This drink is yum, and a great source of UTI prevention! 😂 On another note, how have I made it to 52 years old without being able to spell “definitely” without relying on spell check? 🤔⁣
