Blueberry Beret

I made this one up –
1.5 oz vanilla vodka
1.5 oz blueberry liqueur
.5 oz simple syrup
squeeze of lemon juice

Don’t let me around any fresh fruit, because I will make it into a liqueur!

So yeah, I made blueberry liqueur. I put blueberries in a jar and covered them in vodka, and let them sit at room temperature for two weeks – giving the jar a little shake once a day. Then I strained the blueberries out and added 1 part simple syrup to 4 parts blueberry infusion.

The result is very jammy and yummy – it doesn’t even taste like there is any booze. So I boozed it up with this cocktail recipe. I chose vanilla vodka for a little more flavor, and added the squeeze of lemon after tasting it. Turned out the way I hoped, I’m really enjoying it!

Now I’m looking around the kitchen for more things to turn into liqueur.
