gin, Aperol, cucumber

Today was a big day! I got my first Pfizer vaccine. I’m feeling a little achy and my arm is sore, but I am NOT complaining. I’m so ready to re-enter the world!

I’ve wanted to try this drink for a while, but I don’t always keep cucumber in the house. What a nice surprise! The muddled cucumber comes through really nicely, and the sweetness and brightness of the Aperol really compliments the gin.

I really shouldn’t be surprised. In the “before times”, when I used to get my hair cut at a salon, they always had a jug of cucumber water – just water with sliced cucumbers. And the cucumbers really give off a lot of flavor.

Oh, yeah. Re-entering the world and getting a haircut that doesn’t involve my fabric scissors. So ready.
