apple pie moonshine, club soda

I made this recipe up. Just two ounces apple pie moonshine (I used Ole Smoky) on ice, fill the glass with club soda.

I was going to make a different cocktail tonight, but I saw the moonshine there and got to wondering if it would make a good summer cooler. It does. And it’s an easy cocktail to make, because the apple pie moonshine tastes like a finished cocktail already – no need to add anything else.

I am pleasantly surprised with apple pie moonshine. I saw the “moonshine” part and thought it would be really harsh, with a hint of apple flavor. No, this stuff REALLY tastes like apple pie, sweetness and all. No mistaking, it tastes like apple pie, and it is delicious.

Adding ice and soda takes the sweetness down a bit (I like that), and the mixture almost tastes more like a boozy cream soda. Remember cream soda? I loved it as a kid, and I’m loving this flavor now.
